It was Roberto Moretti’s passion for nature and a desire to continue his ancestors’ winemaking tradition that led him to purchase a small piece of land in 1999 and set up Podere Casaccia. Its 12 hectares of woodland, olive groves and vineyards are situated in the hills of Scandicci, close to Florence. Facing the south-east, the extended light the vineyard receives produce brilliant phenolic maturity, allowing the grapes to exquisitely ferment and produce wines true to the terroir.

From the handpicking to the bottling, everything is done with passion and care. Their Aliter Toscana Rosso is a soft wine made from a variety of grapes. It has hints of blackberry, cherry and balanced tannins that express the quality of the terroir throughout.
